what i missed about philiipines!

Of course my family and friends and but i missed a lot is Filipino foods. I can cook some filipino dishes here too. But my mother's cooking taste good than my cooking or the filipino restaurant here:)!I missed her sinigang, adobo, laing and spicy bicol foods. I misses kakanin!! i missed lugaw and tokwat baboy! i missed grilled fish and pork and even street inihaw too :)!!and a lot more... It's like it's been a long time since i taste this but the truth is we just been in Philippines last January for vacation but i still missed this food everyday:(!!We just need to save again and plan another vacation in maybe 2 years. It just too pricey for a family of 4 to travel out of the country. But it's all worth it to see people we love, places i like to see again and to get food I'm craving to eat again!

top chef final 4

Finally the the top chef already have final 4 to go to finale in Puerto Rico . I really like Dale to be in the finale but he's been voted out. Stephanie, Richard Antonia and Lisa made it to the finale. I'm thinking maybe it's Stephanie or Richard will win the title. I just like this show because i like to cook and of course love to eat too. I like seeing different recipes and culinary style of the chefs. And the judges Tom are just adorable and of course the beautiful and stylist Padma made the show more interesting. I'm looking forward to see the finale show next week.Anyway have a good Thursday!

Pollen Allegry

I mowed our yard couple of days ago and now i have itchy eyes and maybe it's from rag weed.But it got worse and my eyes get more red and i got runny nose and itchy throats.
my hubby told me maybe i got pollen allergy. Each spring, summer, and fall, tiny particles are released from trees, weeds, and grasses. So he got me over the counter medicine and it feel it helps a lot but if continue i need to see a doctor which i don't like:)!! but as of now i feel much more better.oh well!! have a great Wednesday!

Memorial Weekend

My kids Remembering their Grandma this memorial weekend!!
We spend our memorial day visiting my mother in law and some relatives in the cemetery. The weather is not good, we have heavy rains. It's great when we arrived in the cemetery in a small town in Kansas the rain stops. So we got a chance to put flowers in the grave.It's a bit muddy and the grass is wet which my daughter loves:)but she like more the flag she saw!:) There are quite few people there because of the rain but my father in law said there are many people early morning because the re's no rain. It really great seeing him again and the drive is good with my kids behaving nice in our 4 hours round trip drive:)!

I'm just looked at my movie reviews in friendster and i have watched 158 movies, i don't put all movies i watch there from tv, HBO, cinemax, show and starz or movies i watched not worth reviewing, yes we have all this movie cable channel, i think we are paying too much on our cable bill:) the last movie i watch is august rush, really great movie, you can really believe that you will meet true love unexpectedly.I also subscribed to rent movies even Filipino film too! we don't have time to go to theater anymore:(! we are thinking to try the drive-inn theater near our place. I like to watch Indiana Jones in big screen. anyway have a great weekends!!

We saw famous people houses .We went sightseeing tours together with some tourist from different countries. From Hollywood sign, rodeo drive and walk of fame where we see those hand print of Hollywood's actors. It's where we saw many impersonator of dead actors. We even see Kodak theater where Oscar is held. And tour guide really give more information on this places. I always like to see Las Vegas. Suvivor Finale

I know this is 3 days too late but i still want to write about it, i watch it for 3 hours anyway:)!. Having final two make the show finale more interesting. The final tribal council made good Q & A. It's great Ozzy told everyone what he feels about Amanda. Maybe if they have final 3 Cirie or Amanda has a chance to win. But Parvati won survivor maybe she really played the game to outwit, outlast and outplay that's why the jury voted for her because they really saw what really happen there,we only watched the survivor edited version that's last 1 hours every week:)!. oh well!!I wish Amanda and Ozzy try to be in amazing race, they will be good pair to watch there. Anyway have a great day!!

Survivor last night break the record of the show for having a contestant who gave up his immunity, bad decision of course because the 4 females played him. The juries reactions are great specially Eliza. Even the the remaining survivors can't believe and just keep on smiling. So Eric now have a new title "dumbest" survivor ever. I like either Amanda or Cirie to win.The finale is on Sunday ,anyway have a great weekend!!

I sold silk wedding flowers, i made wedding flower set for whole bridal entourage.I only made 4 to 5 sets in a month to make sure i can give good quality products and i still made a good profit:)! I just put a listing and they will buy it and i will make the flower within 2 to 3 weeks. so basically they will pay me first to buy all the materials and pay for eBay fees too! I really like making this flowers for the brides to be and talking and knowing what they want for their flowers really make me part of their wedding even i don't know them personally. I just stop now because of i want to give full attention to my family! my kids are taking all my time:)!! anyway i just write this because i have some inquiries if i will make a listing soon because it's wedding season again -spring and summer. I'm thinking to go back when the kids starts pre-school. This is a good part time job for me too:!!)here are some some of my feedbacks

Aside from flowers i used to sell clothing too from my son old clothes to designer clothing from thrift stores. Yes thrift store -eBay buyer like to buy name brand clothes in cheap price:)! I really make good profit in it. my first name brand i found is sean john shirt for $.25 cent still very good condition and i put it on eBay and start at $10. And i got many bid for it, and someone bought it for $30. And Levi's jeans those 501 styles i bought it in thrift store at $5 and sold it on eBay over $30 or more. So if I still have time to go and look for this items in every thrift store near my place it will great. But of course there are many people think the same too. when i went to the thrift store few months ago they don't even have good name brand clothes, I asked the lady there and she said many buys there now and looking for those items and they will sell in on Ebay too! I look and saw that many eBay sellers are from my city,my hubby's co worker's daughter is doing the same too!, i think i saw some of them at the post office before we all have the ebay USPS box:!)
Oh well everyone want to have extra cash! anyway have a great weekend!

Tornado safety 101

Living in Midwest made me look and search for some good information about how to be prepare and safe when there's tornado. We have tornado warning last night and the siren went off around 7:30 and last nearly 30 minutes. A tornado warning means that radar or a tornado spotter has sighted a tornado.My kids and I went on the basement just to be safe and wait there until the we don't have the warning anymore.My hubby called us to know if we're ok! and told me that they all went on the tunnel where the tornado shelter in their work. It's really bad weather last night there are few tornado touch down, heavy rains and hails too in other city thank god we don't have those near our place!

We always go to our basement if we have tornado warning here, the lowest level of the house, near the center of the house and away from doors and windows which is safe place in case tornado happen. Of course large enough for everyone to get into easily and comfortably and kids toys, a small fridge for foods,battery-operated radio,a flashlight and comfy blanket.Just stuff we might need in case something happen:)!
We always looking forward for spring but tornado's tend to develop on hot, humid, spring days.With winds that can range from 100-300 mph and a speed on the ground of 10-50 mph, the tornado can quickly destroy a community with little or no warning. It's great that whenever there's a bad weather we can count on the tv news here, they just cut the regular programs and give information about the weather.A local channel give weather advisories, or as detailed as attending a weather spotter’s class sponsored by the local weather service. All evening we only have news on tv so i did not have chance to watch my fav shows but it's fine as long we know what happening outside our home:)!

Nearly all my favorite tv shows has Thursday schedule. From ugly betty and survivor to CSI and Lost, my TV will be too tired!! thanks to DVR i can record some of the show and watch it whenever i have time:)!!
